Glass Classroom and allotment area at Tyndale

As part of the Character curriculum at Tyndale Primary School, the school has developed a glass classroom and allotment area for children.

The lunchtime gardening club is part of our service programme, and all classes contribute to maintaining our garden room through their weekly timetable.

It has provided children with the opportunity to engage in a nurturing environment to support their regulation during unstructured times and has enabled them to develop their character in line with our magnificent seven character habits (Ready, Respectful, Safe, Ambitious, Collaborative, Independent, Resilient).

One of the children said: "We go out and work with lots of gardening tools. We plant seeds and keep them watered. I enjoy the planning because you can grow stuff you might like to eat."
