Rebekah Millward appointed as Headteacher for Robinswood Primary Academy

She remains Acting Head of Robinswood Primary School until then. Following approval from the GLT Board of Trustees and the Department for Education, Robinswood and Moat Primary Academies in Gloucester will amalgamate onto the Robinswood site to form the new school. 

Rebekah is a highly respected and accomplished school leader with extensive experience in primary education. Having worked across both Robinswood Primary Academy and Moat Primary Academy, she brings invaluable insight into both school communities, along with a deep commitment to delivering exceptional teaching and learning. Her leadership will be instrumental in ensuring stability and continuity as the schools move forward with their planned amalgamation.

Liz Easaw, Director of Primary Education at the Greenshaw Learning Trust, expressed her confidence in Rebekah’s appointment, stating: "Rebekah is an outstanding leader who is deeply invested in the success of the amalgamation of Robinswood Primary Academy and Moat Primary Academy, and the wider community. Her experience, vision, and dedication to high-quality education will ensure a smooth transition and continued excellence for pupils, staff, and families. I look forward to working with her.”

Over the coming months, GLT will work closely with Rebekah and the leadership team to finalise key details and ensure a seamless transition. The appointment reflects the trust’s ongoing commitment to providing the highest standard of education and strengthening the school’s role in serving the Matson community.
