admission appeal panel members

The Greenshaw Learning Trust is a fast-growing academy trust successfully supporting and improving primary and secondary schools in South London, Surrey, Berkshire, Bristol,
Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire and Plymouth. Our schools are welcoming and inclusive, at the heart of their local community. We are ambitious for our schools and our students.

We are currently seeking volunteers to serve as school admission appeal panel members in
South Gloucestershire, Bracknell Forest and Surrey.

As a panel member on an Independent Appeal Panel (IAP) you will provide an impartial service to schools and parents. You will be responsible for ensuring that parents/carers feel that they have had a fair and independent hearing.

Full training will be provided, though good listening skills, the ability to remain calm but firm and good communication skills are key to this role.

Appeal hearings are held throughout the year. However, peak times are between May and
July. Appeals are being held virtually or via telephone conference.

We would welcome interest from people of all ages and backgrounds, including those who may have had experience working within a school environment, such as teachers, school governors or committee work.
