Proposal for Bandon Hill Primary School to separate
The Board of Trustees is proposing that Bandon Hill Primary School should separate into two schools.
Bandon Hill Primary School is currently a six form entry split site primary school. The school comprises a two form entry site known as Meadow Field in Wallington, a four form entry site known as Wood Field in Carshalton and Oak Field, a base for children with autism on the Wood Field site.
The separation of the school would create one school in Wallington (Meadow Field) and one school in Carshalton (Wood Field and Oak Field). By creating two schools, each school will be able to adapt the curriculum to suit the needs of their pupils, have a headteacher and provide additional opportunities for funding. The two schools will still work closely together, as part of the Greenshaw family of schools, whilst retaining their character and their place at the heart of their local communities.
The consultation will close on Monday 6 December at 12pm and the responses will be reviewed by the Board of Trustees. The separation of the school is also subject to the Regional School Commissioner’s approval. It is expected that the earliest the separation will take place is September 2022.
