Blaise High School Celebrates Ofsted Success

Blaise High School, Bristol, underwent an Ofsted inspection on 27th and 28th of September, with a follow-up visit on 31st of October. The inspection results reflect the school's commitment to academic excellence and character development, showcasing an overall effectiveness grade of "Good."

The key findings of the inspection are as follows:

Nat Nabarro, Headteacher of Blaise High School, expressed pride in the positive evaluation, stating: "We are delighted with the 'Good' rating across all categories. It reflects the hard work and dedication of our students, staff, and the entire school community. Everyone in the community should be incredibly proud of this school. This is an important landmark on our journey to becoming one of the best schools in the country. I am thrilled that Ofsted have recognised the improvements made under the Greenshaw Learning Trust (GLT) and really happy that the community has a school that it can be proud of."

Blaise High School aims to "enable every pupil to climb their own personal mountain to the very best universities," and the report recognises the school's efforts in creating a calm, purposeful, and safe environment for learning. The report also praises the broad and ambitious curriculum.

Inspectors acknowledged that “pupils behave well around the school site, develop positive relationships with each other and with staff” and that “poor behaviour is not tolerated and so does not interrupt learning”.

The report notes the effective safeguarding arrangements in place alongside the array of enrichment opportunities, including sports, music, chess, and outdoor adventure challenges, contributing to students' personal development at Blaise High School.

The Ofsted report also recognises the role of the Greenshaw Learning Trust and highlights the effective leadership and management within the Trust, providing valuable support to areas of development such as attendance improvement.
