Henley Bank High School Ranked 13th in England by Fairer School Index
Henley Bank High School in Brockworth, Gloucester, has been ranked 13th out of 3,261 schools in England by the Fairer School Index, a remarkable achievement that places it at the top of the list for the West Country.
Developed by the University of Bristol, the Fairer School Index assesses the performance of schools by combining attainment and progress data with other variables – including pupil demographics, ethnicity, and deprivation – to provide a broader measure of the impact schools are making.
Researchers assessed every school in England using additional performance metrics, including free school meal eligibility, language, ethnic group, gender, and special educational needs. The result is a list of the top 50 schools making the greatest difference to their students, with Henley Bank High School earning its well-deserved spot near the top.
