Pre-School admissions

We are pleased that you are considering our Pre-School for your child. The first step is to complete our Pre-School registration form, which can be downloaded below.

Please be aware that completion of this form does not guarantee a place at our Pre-School. 

Children may only attend one session a day. Children are initially admitted on a part-time basis. The sessions increase until they are more confident with the setting.

It is beneficial for your child to attend a minimum of two sessions per week.

The consultation for the proposed amalgamation of Moat Primary Academy and Robinswood Primary Academy is currently in progress.  Should this proposal be approved, applications for entry to Pre-School in September 2025 to Moat Primary Academy will be affected.  For further information click here.

Admission procedures and organisation in Pre-School

Parents will be contacted the term before they are due to start, or as a place becomes available. If there is a waiting list, the following criteria will be applied:

  • The child’s date of birth, starting with the oldest on the waiting list, with priority given to those that would like to attend all sessions (15 hours).
